Dunk Island

The annual Dent to Dunk Island sailing rally set off from Airlie Beach on 22nd May 2010, with boats making their way north to Dunk Island as part of the nine-day rally.

The rally finished at Cardwell with a presentation ceremony on 1st June 2010. The action-packed rally took in Gloucester Eco Resort, Magnetic Island and Dunk Island and includes themed parties and beach barbecues.

First held in 1909, the Dent to Dunk Race was not repeated again for more than 90 years, before being reinstated in 2005. The rally was introduced for sailors wanting a break from racing, using the opportunity to visit some of the best locations on the Queensland coast with friends.
