Dunk Island Resort is where the average temperature is 29 degrees year round! With day trippers and 450 guests our Watersports team are very busy with wake boarding, water skiing, catamaran lessons, tube riding, kayaks, dinghies and more!! Dunk Island Resort is in an idyllic location situated between Townsville and Cairns in Far North Queensland. We cater to a range of guests with activities to suit everyone.
We are currently looking for a Coxswain to join our team.
You will require
- Certified Coxswain (Open or Restricted for the area)
- Knowledge of watersports, National Parks
- First Aid certificate – highly desirable
Your main responsibilities will be to -
- Operate and maintain all equipment and boats within Watersports
- Ensure great guest service and satisfaction
- Conducting safety briefings prior to all activities commencing
- General maintenance on the tractor and boat trailers (tyres, fuel and grease) if required
- To ensure the safety of all guests and staff participating in marine activities
The successful applicant will be mechanically minded with small outboard engine experience preferred. Previous ski boat experience ideal.
Before applying please consider the challenges that living in a remote environment may present to you. Whilst we are close to the mainland this will be a live-on island position.
