The course layout and design was created by Scott Dowdle, who operates and maintains Queensland's leading international championship course, Laguna Quays. Making clever use of Dunk's topography, the golf course was created without major earthworks or extensive planting of imported grasses. The course uses the Island's natural water features and the surrounding rainforest to great effect. Whilst the lush greens have been cultivated using "mountain green" couch, the fairways and tees use local grasses native to the Island. There are more than a few challenges, but Dunk's 9 hole golf course rewards golfers with spectacular Coral Sea and Island views. Make your booking at the Activities Centre, where you may also hire golf clubs and purchase ball and tee packs. $20 includes club hire, green fees, 3 golf balls and a bottle of water. |

Dunk's 9 hole golf course with boardwalks through dense rainforest and greens offers spectacular views of the Family Islands and the Mainland. As a National Park within the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park, Dunk Island’s golf course has had to meet stringent environmental guidelines as well as please those keen to Eagle a par 5 with a chip in from the bunker.
